Meredith Anthony is a copywriter for a major New York ad agency. She is married to Wall Street Journal editor and thriller author Lawrence Light, aka the world's best husband. They make their home in Manhattan where they see most Broadway and off-Broadway plays, almost all movies and Tivo an amazing amount of TV -- as well as keeping up with literature, particularly thrillers. Meredith has also been taking boxing lessons.

Her thriller LADYKILLER, co-authored with Larry Light, is published by Oceanview Publishing.

Meredith Artis Anthony was born in the small coal town of Charleroi in Western Pennsylvania. Her childhood was divided between Charleroi and later Washington, Pennsylvania and a country place on Lake Canadohta in the northwest corner of the state near Lake Erie.

In the winter she was a bookish student in the accelerated class where she skipped a grade, making her the youngest in her peer group. In the summer she was an outdoor girl, swimming, horseback riding, waterskiing, boating, and fishing. Her grandmother taught her to shoot, her grandfather taught her carpentry. She owned a rowboat, a canoe, a kayak and a motorboat.

A National Merit Scholarship finalist, she chose St. John's College in Annapolis, Maryland, known as the Great Books school for its rigorous classical liberal arts education. After her BA, she received an MA from the prestigious Writing Seminars program at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.

She has lived in Eugene, Oregon, Chicago, Illinois, Washington, DC and finally New York City, her spiritual home. She has travelled extensively and loves Paris and London as well as Rome, Florence and Venice. Morocco is among her favorite places.

She has written or co-authored several humor books including 101 REASONS WHY WE'RE DOOMED (Avon Books). She has reviewed theatre and film for The Chicago Reader.

She wrote and produced an award-winning short film, LADYKILLER, directed by Gwen Arner and starring starring Melissa Leo, Michael Medeiros and the late, great Joe Silver.

She has written several feature-length screenplays. She co-authored an unproduced play, In Competent Care. She has contributed to MAD Magazine and HYSTERIA, the women's humor quarterly.

She was the writer and partner for The SPILLED MILK Collection, a humorous greeting card line. She even did a live stand-up performance at CBGB Downstairs. Her first mystery short story appeared in ELLERY QUEEN MYSTERY MAGAZINE in December 2006. A second short story appeard in EQMM in July 2008.

She is a member of Mystery Writers of America (MWA), International Thriller Writers (ITW), Sisters in Crime and Deadly Ink.
